Found this at an antique mall in South Bend, IN. It does not seem to have publishing date but my guess is that it's from 1941-1947.
Here's what the first page says:

You Probably!
....Grasp this book firmly in one hand, and a big spoon in the other. Tie your bob out of your eyes, an apron around your middle, sing out your special battle cry, and plunge.
And-just in passing-remember, the way to a man's heart....
